The first visit will be with Dr. Harre. It is extremely important that the dentist examines the patient first and continually monitors the condition of their teeth and gums. After a complete examination, the patient will be scheduled for the appropriate treatment either with the dentist and / or hygienist.

What the patient can expect on the first visit to Dr. Harre’s office:

• A tour of the office, including an introduction of the office staff
• Review of medical history, blood pressure, allergies and any medications the patient may be taking
• An examination of the teeth to evaluate their health and check for dental decay
• An examination of the gum tissue to assess whether there is the presence of gum disease
• An examination of the oral cavity to ascertain whether or not there is the presence of any suspicious tissue or oral cancer
• A visual tour, using the intra-oral camera, of the interior of the mouth and teeth will be performed. The patient will be able to see, through the overhead monitor, their teeth, the inside of the mouth and the entire oral cavity
• An evaluation of the jaw function and jaw alignment to make certain the jaw and oral cavity are healthy, beautiful and functional as well
• Dental X-rays, if necessary, to help the dentist assess the unseen
• A confidential consultation time in a private office. Time will be taken to discuss treatment options and the reason for the appointment, the length of time required, and the anticipated fee. The staff will answer all questions, listen to concerns and give the patient a card with the office phone number in case of further questions. All of this will happen before leaving the office on the first visit.
